For Vad, many exhibitions have a theme and a story that is told through a variety of art works. She views each piece in an installation as part of a poem. Signe works from a perspective where the body and nature are elements of a shared world. For Vad, the body becomes a metaphor— a piece of flesh, a part of nature. Her artworks declare metaphorically that humans and bodies, like other elements of wild nature, defy classification into rigid concepts.
