Paadmaan Video Event [PVE] is an open-ended, alternative platform for video screening programs with itinerant venues. It runs as a laboratory for time-based media, providing space to explore the convergence of artistic practice, emergent technologies, and research-driven videos through a cross-disciplinary nexus with art and science as its core theme within the culture of the moving image.
Curators: Foad Alijani and Greg Leshé
Parallel Section This dedicated section is a space for artistic vision and exploration. It hosts moving image works that prioritize form and experimentation, offering a platform for abstract narratives, speculative cinema, and videos outside the core thematic focus.
History PVE was established in 2018 by Foad Alijani. The event’s initial two editions took place in Tehran; the first edition was dedicated to the documentation of site-specific and time-based projects, while the second followed with an open theme. For the second edition, Greg Leshé joined as a guest curator, and he remained involved in the third edition, which was hosted in Amsterdam and centered on the theme of dream and imagination.
